Topic: Phenomenon of Interest Topic Selection: Nursing Turnover The proposed topic is the high nursing turnover in healthcare. According to Halter et al. (2017), nursing turnover is a common problem in healthcare. While this is common in developing nations, it is a great threat in developed nations. According to Vaughn (2020), the current turnover rate is that 8.8% to 37% (Vaughn, 2020) depending on the place and nursing profession. The national turnover rate for caregivers is at 17.1% causing the nurses to struggle with staffing ratios (Vaughn, 2020). The topic has become a pressing issue administrators and management in healthcare settings. Numerous factors have been associated with the turnover, for example, workload, burnout, low morale, and financial pay. The following study conducts an investigation to determine the nursing turnover rate in health facilities and its impact. It will use a systematic review research design characterized using articles within the last five years. They will be obtained from CINHAL and PUBMED as databases. Data will also be obtained from ten healthcare institutions randomly selected in . Appropriate articles were searched using keywords, such as, nursing turnover, nursing turnover in , nurse retention impact, nurse turnover impact.
